Today’s Grand Luxury Hotel *** (corner house No. 118) was always the largest building on the main square Krakonošovo náměstí. Its wide expanse was gained by connecting three buildings in Havlíčkova street. The original baroque facade was several times structurally simplified in the 19th and 20th century. Notable on the building is its interior layout with a gallery with renaissance arcades (it consists of a number of equally sized arches carried by outriggers). In the cellar can be found even the remains of a gothic arch. At the beginning of the year 2018, the interior of the hotel has been renovated and newly painted with additional amenities in the rooms. A touch of history, however, remained to remind our guests of the unforgettable atmosphere of the First Czechoslovak Republic of “the Golden Twenties”…
